Toward a global taxonomy: state of the art and key experiences across the world
Webinar promoted by ESGeneration Italy during the SRI Weeks
Webinar
Monday, November 28th
14:00 – 15:30 CET
Today there are more than 20 taxonomies of sustainable activities at global level. They represent classification systems, providing clarity and standardization to market participants. Nevertheless, they do not always address the same themes. Moreover, differences between taxonomies pose problems of comparability and interoperability. While the EU taxonomy, introduced by the EU Regulation 2020/852, is a crucial tool for financing the ecological transition in Europe, interaction with other taxonomies through a global one is fundamental as well. The webinar was focus on difficulties and opportunities linked to a global taxonomy and the role that International Financial Centres for Sustainability can play in this integration process.
